I’m Praveen Divvala, founder of Variontrade and an MQL4/MQL5 algorithmic trading developer with 3+ years of experience building custom Expert Advisors and indicators for traders around the world.

How I work

  • Spec before code. Your idea becomes a written specification you approve first.
  • Adjustable by design. Modular code with input parameters, so you fine-tune without editing code.
  • Tested before delivery. Strategy Tester runs across pairs and timeframes, plus demo forward-testing where it matters.
  • Support afterwards. Bug fixes and refinements from live performance feedback.

The process, step by step

  1. 01

    Requirement gathering

    We go through your trading idea in detail: entry and exit conditions, indicators, risk tolerance, preferred currency pairs and timeframes, and special conditions such as news avoidance or session restrictions. Your manual strategy becomes a clear technical specification before any code is written.

  2. 02

    Coding & development

    The Expert Advisor or indicator is written in MQL4 or MQL5 for your platform. Core trading logic comes first, then risk management: stop-loss, take-profit, trailing stop-loss, breakeven and position sizing. The code stays modular, with adjustable input parameters so you can fine-tune settings without touching code.

  3. 03

    Back-testing

    The EA runs through the MT4/MT5 Strategy Tester on historical data across multiple pairs and timeframes. Consistency, drawdown and behaviour in trending versus ranging and high versus low volatility markets are checked, and logic is refined until performance is stable. Where it matters, a forward test on a demo account validates real-time behaviour before going live.

    Delivery

    You receive the final compiled .ex4/.ex5 file (or source code, if agreed) with a short setup guide covering installation and key input parameters. Support, bug fixes and refinements based on live performance feedback stay available afterwards.

What Variontrade is, and is not

Variontrade is the algorithmic trading consulting and development practice led by Praveen Divvala. It builds software to your rules: Expert Advisors, indicators and scripts for MetaTrader.
