Prop firm EA development: rules-aware Expert Advisors for funded accounts

Prop firm challenges punish one careless trade. I build MT4 and MT5 Expert Advisors around the rules your firm publishes, with risk controls that protect the account before the strategy does anything else.

What’s included

  • Daily loss and maximum drawdown guards that stop trading before a limit is breached
  • Equity and balance safeguards with configurable thresholds
  • News filter that pauses around high- and medium-impact events (the News Factor EA approach)
  • Risk-based position sizing, maximum open trades and session restrictions
  • Optional weekend and end-of-day flat rules if your firm requires them
  • Full Strategy Tester validation before delivery

Built for

  • Traders taking or running funded-account challenges
  • Traders who keep breaching daily loss or drawdown rules by hand
  • Prop-firm traders who want a strategy executed with discipline

How it works

A clear path from idea to delivery.

  1. 01

    Rule intake

You send the firm’s rules (daily loss, max drawdown, news and weekend policy). They become hard-coded guards in the spec.

  2. 02

    Strategy + guards

Your trading logic is built together with the protective layer, so risk rules cannot be skipped.

  3. 03

    Stress testing

Back-tests check drawdown behaviour across market conditions, then a demo forward-test validates real-time behaviour.

  4. 04

    Handover

Delivered with a setup guide covering the key inputs for your account size and firm.

FAQ

Questions on prop firm & funded-account eas.

Can you guarantee an EA will pass a prop firm challenge?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. An EA follows its rules; it cannot guarantee profits. What I build is an EA that respects your firm’s stated limits and manages risk consistently. Results depend on the strategy and the market.

Do you build EAs for FTMO and other prop firms?

I build to the rules of whichever firm you use. Each firm’s limits differ, so you provide the rule set and the EA is configured to it.

Which platform do prop firms use?

Many offer MT4 and/or MT5. I build for both, in MQL4 or MQL5.

Can the EA avoid news events?

Yes. The News Factor EA reads the Forex Factory economic calendar and pauses trading before high- and medium-impact news, resuming safely afterwards.
